About This Coffee

This coffee is from the Karongi District in Rwanda's Western Province, grown at 1750-2000 meters altitude. It is produced by Alexis Gahizi and Aimé Dusabe Gahizi at the Gitesi washing station. The coffee is Red Bourbon variety, fully washed processed. The cup profile features bright citrus, juicy stone fruits, raisin-like sweetness, and a refined tea-like finish with flavor notes of fig, mandarin, and black tea. The washing station employs a custom filtration system for water treatment and uses worm composting for cherry pulp.
