This coffee is from the Karongi District in Rwanda's Western Province, grown at 1750-2000 meters altitude. It is produced by Alexis Gahizi and Aimé Dusabe Gahizi at the Gitesi washing station. The coffee is Red Bourbon variety, fully washed processed. The cup profile features bright citrus, juicy stone fruits, raisin-like sweetness, and a refined tea-like finish with flavor notes of fig, mandarin, and black tea. The washing station employs a custom filtration system for water treatment and uses worm composting for cherry pulp.

Terence Tan, Singapore's National Barista Champion in 2017, founded Tad Coffee Company in 2018 alongside a group of friends with a combined 30 years of experience across roasting, barista training, and operations. The roastery holds Halal certification and sources from Ethiopia, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Sumatra, with the team providing SCA and ASEAN Coffee Federation certified training programs. Tad's blends earned consecutive Bronze awards at the Australian International Coffee Awards in 2019 and 2020, and their Ethiopia Moyo Nyekundu G1 took Bronze in the Pour Over Single Origin category in 2022. Tan went on to win the Singapore Cup Tasters Championship in 2023.
