This coffee is from Huye Mountain in Rwanda, a washed process coffee made from Red Bourbon variety. The 2025 crop produces a juicy and sweet cup with prominent notes of red fruits and citrus, complemented by delicate floral tones. The coffee is described as clean, vibrant, and beautifully structured. It is suitable for both brewing and espresso preparation.
Launched in 2024 by Ukrainian roaster Vladyslav Demonenko, Kolo Coffee quickly became a standout in Berlin's specialty scene, earning Best Specialty Coffee Shop at Berlin Coffee Week 2025. The name "Kolo" draws from the Ukrainian word for circle, a symbol of unity and community that runs through everything the micro roastery does. Vlad brings serious competition credentials, including World Vice Champion in Coffee in Good Spirits 2022 and Ukrainian Brewers Cup champion in 2023. Recognizable by its bright orange outdoor seating, the cafe serves competition grade coffees roasted on site with precision and care.
