This coffee is from Gakenke in the North Province of Rwanda, processed at the Nkara washing station by Michel Dusengimana, who is both the washing station manager and the single farmer for this lot. He is part of the Dukunde Kawa Musasa Cooperative. The coffee is Bourbon variety, fully washed processed, and grown at altitudes between 1,800 and 2,100 meters. Tasting notes include dried apricot, citrus, brown sugar, and herbal characteristics. This is a rare single farmer lot from Rwanda's 2025 harvest.
Onibus Coffee is a Japanese specialty coffee roastery and café brand founded in Tokyo in 2012 by Atsushi Sakao, who trained as a barista in Australia and was inspired to bring high-quality coffee culture back to Japan. The name Onibus reflects Sakao’s vision of coffee shops as community hubs that connect people, much like a bus connects places. Under his leadership, Onibus sources and roasts high-quality single-origin beans and blends with a focus on traceability, sustainability, and hospitable service.
