About This Coffee

This Cuban Arabica coffee comes from a country with a rich coffee heritage dating back to 1748. Cuba exports only around 1,500 tonnes of Arabica annually, making this a rare offering. Serrano Lavado is a washed processed coffee that showcases Cuba's unique terroir and fertile soils. The flavor profile features warming spices and deep cocoa, balanced with smooth toffee sweetness and a distinctive umami note of peanut butter.

UE Coffee Roasters

UE Coffee Roasters was founded in 2009 by Dominic Boyett in Witney, Oxfordshire, with the roastery established in 2012. The team brings over 50 years of combined experience in specialty coffee and roasts Monday through Friday at their production facility, which is visible to visitors through the adjoining roastery café. They source from 58 farms through direct, long standing trading relationships, and every wholesale partner receives on site quality control visits every six weeks. Beyond roasting, the business offers SCA barista training courses, equipment rental programmes, loose leaf tea blending, and a white label roasting service. All packaging is 100% recyclable, and the company works with machine partners including Victoria Arduino, Conti, Rocket, and Mahlkonig.
