Shadow Party is a dark roast blend featuring coffee from Brazil. This coffee is processed using the natural method. It offers a decadent flavor profile characterized by notes of dark chocolate and roasted almond, complemented by a full-bodied mouthfeel. It is designed as a classic dark roast profile.
Established in 2013 as part of Jacob McKean's Modern Times Beer brewery in San Diego's Point Loma neighborhood, this operation roasts coffee on a beautiful 15 kilogram Giesen roaster while maintaining a full scale 30 barrel brewery. Though beer production launched first, coffee roasting began simultaneously, and both operations have grown alongside one another with equal passion and precision. Modern Times Coffee operates primarily from The Invigatorium, a retro futurist coffee house in San Diego's East Village, proving that a roastery can thrive as an integral part of a larger creative beverage enterprise.
