About This Coffee

This coffee is from Kenya's Kericho region, produced by Sidney Kibet and various small producers at 1700 meters above sea level. The lot is identified as LOT20. It features Batian, Ruiru 11, SL-28, and SL-34 varieties processed using an anaerobic natural method. The cherries are harvested at optimal ripeness, hand-selected, depulped, and fermented for 48 hours in water before drying on African beds for 10-12 days. The coffee exhibits flavor notes of apple, honey, floral, strawberry, and cacao nibs, combining terroir, extreme altitude, and producer dedication into a complex profile with floral and citrus notes and deep stone fruit sweetness.

Harmony Roasters

Harmony Roasters began in 2021 when Dani sold his motorbike to buy a one kilogram capacity roaster. Together with his partner Agatha, who handles photography, social media, and the web presence, Dani built a micro roastery in Montcada i Reixac on the outskirts of Barcelona. His approach favours minimal intervention, letting the coffee's natural character come through rather than imposing a heavy roast signature. It paid off quickly: Dani won both the Catalan Coffee Roasting Championship and the Spain Roasters Championship in 2021, then took the Catalan title again in 2022. The roastery uses fully compostable packaging and supplies several businesses around Barcelona.
