This single origin coffee is grown in the highlands of Gotiti, a village in Ethiopia's Gedeb district. Cultivated at elevations between 2,000 and 2,300 meters in rich volcanic soil, the cherries develop slowly resulting in a complex and bright cup. Sourced through Ephtah Specialty Coffee, an Ethiopian exporter led by Wubit Bekele that focuses on quality, traceability, and empowering women in the coffee sector. This washed coffee undergoes natural fermentation for 12 to 72 hours before being dried on raised African beds. The result is a coffee with vivid acidity, floral aroma, and crisp clarity, featuring notes of jasmine, citrus, stone fruits, black tea, and honey. Roasted to highlight flavors of apricot, date, caramel, sugarcane, and chamomile or rooibos tea with warm spice aroma.
