This single origin coffee comes from the Sironko washing station in Budadiri sub-county, Uganda, located at 1250 meters above sea level. The station processes cherries from smallholder farms at altitudes up to 1850 meters along the slopes of Mount Elgon, an extinct volcano on the border with Kenya. The coffee is washed processed using an Eco pulper, mechanically depulped and demucilaged, then mechanically dried in regulated temperature chambers. The region benefits from volcanic soils, plentiful rain, high altitude, and abundant sunshine. Flavor notes include red apple, marzipan, and black tea.
