This is a medium roast blend sourced from Mexico and Uganda. The coffee is 100% Arabica and features flavor notes of milk chocolate, hazelnut, and fig. It is lab-tested to be free from mold, pesticides, and heavy metals. The coffee is roasted to order to preserve antioxidants and ensure freshness.

James Bellis founded Balance Coffee in London in 2020 after eight years in the coffee industry, originally planning a restaurant before the pandemic redirected him toward the home coffee market. The focus from the outset has been on health conscious specialty coffee, developed in consultation with nutritionist Clemmie Rose. All beans are specialty grade arabica, scoring 80 and above, sourced from the top tier of global farms with a 25 percent premium paid above market rate. The roasting follows a seven step process aimed at a clean, balanced cup, and each batch is sealed within 24 to 48 hours of roasting. The range extends into functional mushroom coffee products. Balance has won awards including Best Organic Coffee Roasters 2022 and Best Sustainable Roaster 2021, and operates primarily through a direct to consumer subscription model.
