This coffee comes from the Ketiara cooperative, a women-directed cooperative in the Gayo Highlands of Sumatra, Indonesia. The coffee is certified Fair Trade and Organic, and is triple picked by hand for defects. Roasted on the light side, it offers a smooth rich flavor with seasoned herbal, honeysuckle, and chocolate notes. Low in acidity and high in body.
Café Moto was founded in 2012 by Jason Weis in San Diego, California. The roastery operates a Diedrich IR 12 from its location, producing bright, clean profiles that highlight origin characteristics. Weis sources through direct trade relationships with farmers and importers, focusing on single origin coffees and seasonal offerings. The café serves espresso, pour over, and retail beans, and the business supplies wholesale accounts across San Diego's restaurant, café, and hotel scene. Café Moto also hosts public cuppings and education events as part of its involvement in the local specialty coffee community.
