This is a single-origin decaffeinated coffee available in Brazil or Peru options, grown by multiple smallholder producers at elevations between 1200-2000 meters above sea level. The coffee is washed processed and decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process, a proprietary method designed to maximize caffeine extraction while minimizing flavor loss. The beans are sourced from various smallholder farms. This coffee won a Bronze Medal at the Golden Bean 2024 competition.
Koine Coffee is a specialty roastery based in East Canton, Ohio, operating on a fully manual drum roaster that demands hands on attention at every stage of the process. The company sources green coffee through partnerships with Bodhi Leaf and Gold Mountain Coffee Growers, maintaining direct farm to roaster traceability. In its first entry to North America's largest coffee roasting competition, Koine took home three medals across espresso and milk based categories.
