This is a naturally processed heirloom Arabica coffee from the Guji region of Ethiopia, specifically from Sidama. Cultivated at 1800-1900 meters altitude by smallholder farmers committed to organic, regenerative practices working as part of a local cooperative. The coffee features bright notes of redcurrant candy, lime zest, and red apple with a sweet, candy-like edge and refreshing acidity. It is suited for both espresso and filter preparations with a light roast profile, sparkling fruit-forward character, and juicy vibrancy.
As one of the pioneers of specialty coffee in Geneva, Boréal was founded in 2009 with a mission to bring high-quality, ethical coffee to the community. They focus on creating welcoming cafe spaces and fostering a culture around their coffee. Their roasting philosophy is to provide consistent, delicious, and responsibly sourced beans.
