About This Coffee

Rotating seasonal blend combining washed Guatemala and natural Rwanda coffees. The Guatemala component comes from farmer Flavio Martinez in Peña Blanca, La Libertad, Huehuetenango, grown at 1700 meters altitude. It is a mix of Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, and Typica varieties. The Rwanda component comes from Nyakabingo washing station in Nyamasheke district at 1850 meters altitude, with farms reaching up to 2000 meters. The blend features unrefined sugars and bittersweetness with nuanced top notes and bright malic acidity. Flavor profile includes raw sugars, rustic red fruits, dark honey, brown sugar, apple, pear, spiced apple sauce, berry-infused dark chocolate, and blueberry notes with thick, syrupy mouthfeel.

Lily & Willy’s Coffee Co.

Lily & Willy's Coffee Co. is a family run specialty roaster founded in late 2022 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, named after the founders' children. The company roasts fresh for every order rather than building up inventory, sourcing premium single origin beans from Kenya, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, and El Salvador. The operation is deliberately small scale, with recent expansion into a local retail shelf at Shores Meat Shoppe marking a first step beyond direct to consumer online sales. The founders built the business with a long term vision of eventually opening their own café.
