Brewpoint Coffee

Brewpoint Coffee was founded in 2014 by Melissa Villanueva and her husband Angelo in Elmhurst, Illinois, after they spotted a café for sale on Craigslist and closed the deal within a month. The 100% woman and minority owned business has grown without outside investors to include four coffee shops, a wholesale roastery running a Probat P12, and a 4,000 square foot event space in a converted loading dock. Melissa sources directly from farms in Costa Rica, paying above Fair Trade prices, with the flagship Cafe Con Amor blend coming from that partnership and the Amigas Blend sourced from a cooperative of women owned farms through the International Women Coffee Alliance. In 2024, Brewpoint launched a co roasting space dedicated to empowering women and minority owned coffee shops across Illinois, offering equipment rental, toll roasting, and white label services.
