About This Coffee

This blend combines coffee from Brazil and Uganda. The Brazilian component is sourced from the Mogiana region in São Paulo at 1150-1250 meters altitude, produced by Patricia Coelho. It features the Acaia variety and is naturally processed. The blend is well-rounded, mild and chocolatey, suitable for any brew method and for drinking with or without milk, offering smooth chocolate sweetness and almond-like nuttiness with flavor notes of chocolate, almond, and shortbread.

Redemption Roasters

Redemption Roasters was founded in 2017 by Max Dubiel and Ted Rosner with a singular mission: reducing reoffending through coffee. The roastery operates a Loring S70 Peregrin inside HMP The Mount in Hemel Hempstead, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, and opened a second facility in Wembley in 2023. Barista academies now run in nine or more prisons across the UK, and over 1,500 individuals have completed training programmes. The results are striking: a 4% reoffending rate among their graduates compared to the national average of 42%. Redemption operates twelve London coffee shops and generates £3.47 in social value for every pound invested. Sourcing reflects the same ethos, including beans from Colombian ex paramilitary farmers rebuilding their lives and from female producers in Brazil.
