This coffee originates from Huila, Colombia, produced by various producers at altitudes between 1500-2000 meters above sea level. It is a washed process coffee featuring Castillo, Colombia, and Caturra varieties. The coffee is grown in volcanic soils enriched by the Nevado del Huila, with temperatures between 17-22°C allowing for slow maturation. The region produces coffee across diverse microclimates created by canyons, cloud forests, and varying slope orientations. Flavor notes include milk chocolate, orange, and hazelnut.
Harmony Roasters began in 2021 when Dani sold his motorbike to buy a one kilogram capacity roaster. Together with his partner Agatha, who handles photography, social media, and the web presence, Dani built a micro roastery in Montcada i Reixac on the outskirts of Barcelona. His approach favours minimal intervention, letting the coffee's natural character come through rather than imposing a heavy roast signature. It paid off quickly: Dani won both the Catalan Coffee Roasting Championship and the Spain Roasters Championship in 2021, then took the Catalan title again in 2022. The roastery uses fully compostable packaging and supplies several businesses around Barcelona.
