TNT Coffee Lab was founded in 2023 in Houlton, Wisconsin by Juan Carlos Tinoco and Roderick Torrence, combining their backgrounds in specialty coffee into a small batch roasting operation. The roastery sources beans from producing regions including Ethiopia, Colombia, Kenya, and Brazil, applying a 100 point cupping scale with a minimum threshold of 84 points for its Regional Select program, which highlights distinct flavor profiles from specific microclimates. Each batch is roasted with close monitoring to preserve the origin character of the coffee, and the founders have built their product line around both single origin offerings and signature blends named after themselves. The operation runs by appointment from a dedicated facility and sells primarily through its online store and platforms like Amazon and Faire. TNT also prioritizes sustainability through energy efficient roasting methods, eco friendly packaging, and a commitment to sourcing ancillary products and services from Midwest based businesses.
