About This Coffee

This natural processed coffee comes from the Rwenzori region in Uganda, sourced from the Rwenzori Silverback mill. It is a collection from small-holder producers at 1500-1900 meters altitude. The coffee features SL-34, K7, and Blue Mountain varieties. Cherries are selectively picked and brought to the processing station the same day, separated by floatation, and dried on tables for 21 to 35 days. After drying, the cherries are brought to Kampala for milling and export processing. The coffee is harvested from September to December. This very light roast (Agtron 111) offers flavor notes of strawberry, banana cream, and pomegranate.

Wasatch Roasting Company

Wasatch Roasting Company was founded in 2016 by Darren and Tonya Blackford after a trip to Costa Rica sparked their fascination with small scale coffee roasting. What started with a tabletop roaster has grown into an in house roasting operation in downtown Ogden, Utah, where the Blackfords roast specialty grade beans in small batches. The company sources from producers and importers who prioritize sustainable practices and fair compensation. Wasatch also doubles as a community gathering space, featuring rotating gallery exhibitions and work by local artists and artisans throughout the shop.
