This washed Ethiopian coffee originates from Uraga in Oromia's Guji zone at 2,300 meters elevation. Produced by over 700 smallholder farmers in the Raro Boda kebele through the Kebele Raro Boda washing station, the coffee features landrace varieties. The beans were manually harvested and processed using traditional washed methods. Light roasted to highlight its vibrant character, it presents balanced flavors of sumo citrus, stonefruit, oolong tea, and jasmine with a medium body and tea-like finish.

Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
