Single origin coffee from Chikmagular region, South India, grown for over 100 years on an estate now run by Poormina Jairaj. Natural processed San Ramon variety grown at 1,200-1,280 meters altitude. Medium roast with tasting notes of black cherry, plum, and vanilla. Shade-grown with multi-crop integration, naturally lower in acidity with complex flavor profiles.
Stephanie Welter Krause founded Swelter Coffee Roasters in 2020, originally based in El Cerrito, California, before relocating operations to Tailwind Roasting, a co roastery facility in Chicago. Swelter sources coffee that is women produced or women led throughout the supply chain, working with suppliers including Artisan Coffee Imports, Mighty Peace Coffee, Bean Voyage, and a family farm called Santa Marta in Guatemala. All coffee is roasted to order in small batches to minimize waste. The business is woman owned and operates under the principle of coffee by women, for everyone.
