This single origin arabica coffee is sourced from Cauvery Peak in Karnataka, India. It is a high altitude, shade-grown coffee cultivated without pesticides or mineral fertilizers. The coffee is hand-planted, hand-picked to ensure only the ripest cherries are selected, hand-washed to reduce mold, and fast-dried for optimal digestibility. Processing is entirely manual. The coffee is characterized as low in acidity and less affected by mycotoxins. Tasting notes include big body chocolate with very light acidity on finish, rich, dark, and beautifully smooth. This is a 2019 Great Taste Award winner that is organically farmed, ethically sourced, and carbon-negative. Each batch is custom roasted to order and shipped on the day of roasting.
