About This Coffee

This is a pure canephora (robusta) coffee from the Gia Lai province in Vietnam, produced by Tamba Coffee and the Quang family. The coffee is grown at 800 meters above sea level on rich volcanic soils. The variety is Robusta TR4, processed using anaerobic natural method with 144 hours of fermentation followed by 20-25 days of drying. It is light roasted specifically for filter brewing. The flavor profile features marzipan, hazelnuts, honey, and vanilla with zero acidity, high sweetness, and full body.

Brothers Włodek and Jarek Ziółkowski have been roasting coffee for fifteen years, turning their passion professional with the opening of their roastery in 2018 under the name Bracia Ziółkowscy Palarnia Kawy, and both hold SCA membership that underpins the technical rigor they bring to sourcing and profiling every batch. The brothers have won medals at the Polish Coffee Roasting Championships, recognition that placed them among the country's most accomplished roasters and validated an approach built on roasting only the freshest, highest grade specialty beans available. Beyond their own production Włodek and Jarek provide training and advice to other roasters and baristas across Poland, sharing the knowledge they have accumulated over a decade and a half of working with coffee, and their trade show booths have become a consistent draw at Polish coffee events. The roastery supplies cafes throughout Poland and offers a subscription service for home customers, publishing a Polish language blog on coffee facts and brewing tips that extends the educational mission beyond the roastery walls.
