About This Coffee

A washed Bourbon from the Democratic Republic of Congo, produced by SOPACDI (Women's Coffee Project) in the Kalehe territory bordering Lake Kivu. Grown by more than 3,500 women smallholder farmers at 1,900–2,200 meters altitude in sandy clay loam soils. The coffee is double-fermented (12 hours each), washed, sorted in water channels, and dried on raised beds under shade netting for up to 25 days. Lightly roasted for filter, with flavor notes of white grape, brown sugar, and lime. Certified organic and Fair Trade.
