This coffee is from Yemen's Hayma region near Sana'a, grown by smallholder farmers at 2200 meters altitude. It features the Jaadi variety processed naturally with an anaerobic 72-hour fermentation. The flavor profile includes aromas of apricot and loukoumi, flavors of green grape, lavender, and oolong, with a cotton candy and sage aftertaste, bright red grape acidity, and a juicy light body with synergetic balance. It is roasted lightly to highlight fruit-based acidity and sweetness.
Coffea Circulor emerged from its founders' work with the United Nations environmental branch in Arendal, after witnessing coffee farmers in Kenya being paid merely $0.70/kg for green coffee. Initially roasting on a lighthouse island named Store Torungen, nowadays the company operates onshore as a multi-award winning producer, roaster, and research lab.
