One of the earliest names in Swedish specialty coffee, Johan & Nystrom was co founded by Johan Wallenborg and Ola Nystrom in Stockholm in 2004. The roastery helped establish the culture of single origin coffee and direct trade sourcing in a market that was just beginning to look beyond commercial blends. Over two decades, the operation has grown into one of Sweden's most recognized specialty brands, supplying cafes, restaurants, offices, and retail customers across the country. The roasting philosophy centers on drawing out each coffee's individual character. Johan & Nystrom also runs educational programs including barista training and coffee courses, and its beans are distributed through specialty retailers such as Bonor & Blad.
