They began with a vintage 1927 Perfekt roaster, a piece of equipment acquired from Lighthouse Roasters in Seattle that carries the weight of coffee history into modern roasting practice. Direct trade sourcing focuses exclusively on organic beans from small farms in Nicaragua, Brazil, Guatemala, and Ethiopia, building relationships that honor farmer knowledge and fair compensation.
