Swell Cup Coffee Co. was founded in 2017 in the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego. They roast on a one kilo Giesen, keeping production intentionally small and focused on light to medium profiles that let each origin's character come through. Sourcing runs through established importers including Royal Coffee, with a focus on single origin coffees from Africa and Central America. The branding draws on the surf culture and coastal identity of Ocean Beach, and the operation includes a pour over bar with rotating selections alongside the roasting.
