Natural process Ethiopian coffee from Sidama region at 2350-2500 meters elevation. Produced by Tamiru Tadesse using landrace variety 74158. Cherries are dried on African beds for approximately 27 days with hourly turning and afternoon shade protection, then sealed in GrainPro bags and rested for 45+ days before milling. Light roast with bright acidity and complex fruit-forward profile.

Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
