A natural process coffee from Alo Coffee's Worku Station in West Arsi, Oromia, Ethiopia, grown at 2160-2380 meters elevation. The coffee features Heirloom variety beans processed naturally by producer Tamiru Tadesse. Bright red raspberry and peach notes lead the profile, with creamy body, muscat grape, and effervescent floral notes developing as it cools. Light roast, fruit-forward and ripe.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
