This coffee is produced by smallholder farmers in Aponte, Nariño, Colombia, within an indigenous reserve called Aponte. The microlot is 100% Caturra variety, a natural mutation of Red Bourbon originating from Minas Gerais, Brazil. The coffee is processed using honey method, with growers pioneering this technique since 2017 in the region due to ideal weather conditions allowing slow drying. In the cup, it displays gentle red apple acidity, smooth treacle-like sweetness, and pink grapefruit in the finish. The coffee is suitable for all brew methods (omni-roasted).
