This natural processed coffee is from Bensa, Ethiopia, grown at 2350 meters above sea level. Produced by Basha Bekele, who works with 126 registered outgrowers throughout Bensa and operates three drying stations. The coffee is variety 74158, processed at Bombe Drying Station. After being picked at peak ripeness, whole coffee cherry is floated for quality and then spread out to dry on raised beds. The coffee features floral characteristics with tropical fruit notes like lychee, pink lemonade sweetness with citrus, and an unexpected red wine character.
Black & White is the realization of barista champions Kyle Ramage and Lem Butler’s ambition to democratize elite‑level coffee. They manage a dedicated roastery since 2017, roasting four days per week.
