A blend of Central American coffees combining Vienna roasted Game Day Dark and City roasted Guatemala, with a higher proportion of Game Day Dark for a truly bold cup. Both coffees in the blend are traceable to farm and processed using the washed method, where farmers wash the coffee cherry off the bean with water before drying. The blend features a dark, full-bodied profile with chocolate covered nut notes and a clean finish with chocolatey and nutty characteristics.
Blind Coffee Roasters was founded in October 2012 by Tim Howard, whose coffee journey began in 1983 as an associate roaster in San Francisco's coffee industry. Based in Hillsboro, Oregon, the roastery operates a custom designed 20 kilogram machine from Primo Roasting Equipment in Long Beach and specialises in low acidity coffee using medium City Roast profiles that preserve origin driven characteristics. The approach has earned 49 medals at the Golden Bean The Americas competition over the past decade, including a finish as the top Oregon roaster in 2023 and 9th overall in North America. Howard won his first gold medal in 2024 and followed it with a bronze at the Golden Bean World Championship the same year.
