This decaf coffee originates from Huila, Colombia. It undergoes an Ethyl Acetate decaffeination process, also known as Sugar Cane Decaf, which uses a naturally-derived solvent from fermented sugar to remove caffeine while retaining flavor integrity. The green unroasted coffee is soaked in an E.A. solution that bonds to chlorogenic acid salts, allowing caffeine removal. The finished product contains a maximum of 0.01-0.03% caffeine. The coffee features flavor notes of dark caramel, honey, and citrus. It is versatile, performing well as both filter coffee and espresso, either with or without milk.
