This coffee is a low-caffeine blend from the renowned Daterra farms in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It features a unique combination of Laurina and Aramosa varietals, which naturally contain 0.3%–0.75% caffeine compared to 1.2%–1.6% in standard Arabica. Processed using natural methods with aerobic maceration, the coffee offers a light and balanced profile with notes of stone fruits, praliné, and citrus. Grown at 1,149–1,150 meters altitude, it presents a clean and bright cup with hints of toasted hazelnut and milk chocolate complemented by subtle floral notes.
Friedhats was founded in 2016 by Dutch Barista Champ Lex Wenneker and Dylan Sedgwick. Their unpretentious approach focuses on sourcing based on flavor and roasting to accentuate natural characteristics, believing that quality coffee should speak for itself without excessive marketing.
