Carlos Estrella Geisha Washed from Finca La Estrella Lot #1 in La Unión, Nariño, Colombia. Grown at 2,200 meters elevation on a farm implementing agroforestry systems with native tree species. Geisha variety processed using anaerobic washed fermentation with 48-hour whole cherry fermentation before depulping. Light roast with tasting notes of peach, pluot, and white grape with floral characteristics.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
