About This Coffee

Casa Negra is a Colombian espresso coffee with bold sweetness reminiscent of caramelized sugar and molasses. The washed process creates delicate citrus notes of tangerine combined with hints of dried fruit. This coffee features a syrupy texture with medium to heavy body, finishing with chocolate and prune notes. Grown in the high-altitude region of Quindío in Colombia at 1350-1400 meters above sea level, this microlot consists of 100% Caturra variety, a natural mutation of Red Bourbon originating from Minas Gerais, Brazil. The cherries undergo a 30-hour underwater fermentation before being washed and dried under controlled conditions.
