This is a Fairtrade organic coffee from Colombia, specifically from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Serranía del Perijá regions at altitudes between 1200-2200 meters. The coffee is produced by ANEI, an organization of Native Agroecological Producers and Farmers founded in 1995. The varieties include Typica, Caturra, and Bourbon, processed using the washed method. The flavor profile features notes of piña colada, gooseberry, and apricot. The coffee is grown using eco-sustainable practices in harmony with the environment.
Adams & Russell has been roasting coffee in Birkenhead, near Liverpool, since 1978. They use small batch flame roasting methods, hand roasting specialty grade Arabica from origins spanning nearly every coffee growing country. Their Peninsula Blend earned two Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards. The company is both a registered Fairtrade Foundation Operator and a roaster of Rainforest Alliance certified coffees. In 2016 they opened a Coffee School with a dedicated espresso room for SCA certified barista training. They also supply wholesale clients with equipment from La Marzocco and Mahlkönig alongside their beans.
