This Geisha variety coffee is from Finca La Pradera in Huila, Colombia, produced by brother farmers Luis Enrique and Robinson Cuellar. Luis Enrique handles the agronomy while Robinson specializes in post-harvest processing. The coffee fermented in cherry for 24-48 hours, followed by de-pulping in a demucilaginator machine with some mucilage left intact, then dried in a greenhouse structure for 15-20 days. The washed process coffee features flavor notes of blueberry, plum jam, and soft florals. Besides Geisha, the farm also grows pink bourbon, caturra, and pacamara varieties.
Bean Shipper has evolved from a coffee subscription service into the heart of the Kuala Lumpur specialty scene. Founded on a mission to promote coffee made in Malaysia, they are championing their own sourcing projects. We visited their HQ in Kuala Lumpur, met the lovely founders, and tasted some really special local coffee. Bean Shipper are a transparent, community-first operation that is single-handedly raising the bar for what you can expect from a Malaysian brew.
