This coffee is a single-origin lot from producer Gleidys Ramírez, grown in La Palmera, Casablanca, Tolima, Colombia, at an altitude of 1800 meters. It is a Castillo variety processed using a traditional washed method, where cherries are pulped, fermented in open tanks, and dried in a marquesina. The cup profile features a syrupy texture with tasting notes of milk chocolate, dried apple, fig jam, ripe plum, toffee apple, cranberry, toasted pistachio, and macadamia nut, with subtle hints of fig leaf, coconut, vanilla, and fresh herbs.
Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
