Colombia La Serrania Dekaffeinert

Kaffa

About This Coffee

This is a decaffeinated coffee from Colombia, specifically from the Huila region along an isolated mountain range in the Andes. The coffee is grown in areas around Pitalito, Acevedo, and Palestina by over 20 dedicated producers. It is processed using the natural EA (Ethyl Acetate) process at the Descafecol facility in Manizales, where water from the mountains and naturally extracted ethyl acetate from sugarcane are used to remove 99.7% of the caffeine while preserving flavor. The coffee features a sweet and classic profile with notes of caramel, chocolate, and dried fruit, along with a mild acidity and long, pleasant aftertaste. Each coffee cherry is carefully hand-sorted on the farms and dried with precision to ensure consistent quality.
