Ragamuffin Coffee Roasters

Shawn and Sarah Pritchett started Ragamuffin Coffee Roasters in 2015, roasting beans in their garage and selling bags at the Newbury Park Certified Farmers Market in Southern California. A successful Kickstarter campaign helped turn the operation into a permanent home, and the business has grown steadily since. Shawn, a former youth pastor of fifteen years, and Sarah, who cut her teeth at Starbucks, built the roastery around sustainable single origin coffees sourced through direct trade relationships. The name itself captures their ethos: not everyone starts polished, but everyone has the potential for greatness in craft and community. They roast on a Giesen roaster with a focus on letting each origin's character come through.
