About This Coffee

A specialty Colombian coffee from Fresno, a municipality on the border between Tolima and Caldas, grown by smallholder farmers at 1,800–1,900 meters above sea level. The varieties are Castillo and Caturra, processed using the washed method. Medium roasted with an omni-roast profile suitable for any extraction method. Tasting notes include green apple, stone fruit, and chocolate. Scored 84 points.

Animal Coffee

Animal Coffee started as a small specialty coffee space in Barcelona's Sarria neighbourhood in 2015 and began roasting its own beans the following year. They work exclusively with 100% Arabica, using a light roasting approach adapted to each origin to draw out its characteristic notes. Roasting happens weekly to keep deliveries as fresh as possible. Beyond the roastery, they run a barista training centre offering courses from beginner to advanced levels, as well as consultancy for businesses setting up coffee operations. They supply roasted beans to offices and private customers across Spain.
