The coffee undergoes EA Sugar Cane decaffeination process using a natural by-product of sugar cane and water, completed in Caldas, Colombia. This process avoids excessive temperatures and helps preserve natural flavors while enhancing sweetness. The flavor profile features citrus, brown sugar, and butterscotch notes.

Terence Tan, Singapore's National Barista Champion in 2017, founded Tad Coffee Company in 2018 alongside a group of friends with a combined 30 years of experience across roasting, barista training, and operations. The roastery holds Halal certification and sources from Ethiopia, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Sumatra, with the team providing SCA and ASEAN Coffee Federation certified training programs. Tad's blends earned consecutive Bronze awards at the Australian International Coffee Awards in 2019 and 2020, and their Ethiopia Moyo Nyekundu G1 took Bronze in the Pour Over Single Origin category in 2022. Tan went on to win the Singapore Cup Tasters Championship in 2023.
