About This Coffee

This microlot from producer Jairo Arcila features the Caturra variety grown on volcanic soils in Armenia, Western Colombia at 1450-1500 meters altitude. The coffee undergoes 30 hours of underwater fermentation before pulping, washing, and temperature-controlled drying. Medium roast profile delivers a sweet, toffee-like body with mild raspberry acidity and fresh pomelo/grapefruit notes in the aftertaste. Suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.

Ief & Ido

Ief & Ido is a specialty roastery in The Hague, the Netherlands, founded in 2018 by the father and son team Ido and Ief. Ido had been home roasting for over 15 years, at one point pulling shots on an original Faema E61, while Ief discovered specialty coffee through an espresso in Berlin that led him to study the craft across several countries. Together they roast on a Giesen W15 in an old industrial building in The Hague's southwest, combining hand regulated control with modern monitoring technology. Sourcing runs directly from farmers beyond Fairtrade standards, with fully traceable single origins from Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Kenya and Mexico, each listed with processing method, tasting profile and body and acidity ratings. Ief & Ido supplies over 50 locations in the region including Michelin starred restaurants and the concert venue Paard van Troje, and delivers locally by cargo bike.
