About This Coffee

This coffee is from the Tarrazú region of Costa Rica, produced at the Placeres del Llano micromill operated by the Mora Durán family under Leonardo Mora's leadership since 2020. The lot consists of Caturra and Catuai varieties processed using honey processing. Cherries were harvested at 24° Brix for optimal ripeness and sweetness, depulped the same day, and dried on raised beds for 18-22 days. During the day, the coffee was turned every thirty minutes and covered at night to protect against moisture. Once reaching around 10% moisture content, it rested in GrainPro bags for one month before export. This process preserves the pure, sweet, and balanced flavors in the cup. The coffee has a creamy texture with hazelnut and plum notes.
