Luca and Nico, two friends united by a shared vision for uncomplicated quality, founded Symple Coffee Roasters in 2020 in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood. Their brand philosophy centers on the "quality of the simple," an approach that values attention to minor details over flashy presentation. The cafe in the Kollwitz area has become an important part of its residential neighborhood, functioning as a genuine local gathering place rather than a destination for coffee tourists. It also serves as a space where coffee professionals come to experiment with and discuss new roasts, giving Symple an informal role as a community lab. Transparent, close, and fair relationships with producers form the foundation of everything they source and roast.
