Repetition Coffee

About This Coffee

Sourced from smallholder farmers in Huila, Colombia at high elevation between the Central and Eastern Andes, this coffee is processed using a traditional washed method with same-day depulping and extended open-air fermentation. The beans are decaffeinated using the sugar cane (Ethyl Acetate) method, a natural technique that gently removes caffeine. Tasting notes include fruity, marshmallow, and pecan characteristics.

Repetition Coffee

Amy Pope founded Repetition Coffee in 2014 out of her garage in Lawrence, Kansas, after spending a decade living and working abroad in Japan, Spain, Türkiye, and France. That international perspective, combined with a master's degree in international relations focused on trade, shapes how she approaches sourcing: directly from ethical producers, with a particular focus on farms and cooperatives owned and run by women. The roastery now operates from a 4,500 square foot facility powered entirely by solar panels, with production running on a Diedrich IR 12 roaster. Repetition earned a bronze medal at the North American Golden Bean Competition and a 2019 Diedrich Roasters Scholarship from the Coffee Roasters Guild. The name says it all: quality comes from doing the work again and again.
