This coffee is a single origin from the Hunchouen lot in Guatemala's Tajumuco region of Huehuetenango. It is grown by a collective of 550 indigenous small producers at 1800-1900 meters altitude. The coffee is washed processed and made up of Bourbon, Caturra, and Pache varieties. This light-medium roasted bean has butterscotch and baked peach flavors with a buttery sweet, juicy fruitiness and soft finish.
Downriver Coffee Roasters is a small batch specialty roastery in Port Glasgow, on the banks of the River Clyde. They roast on a Diedrich IR 2.5 affectionately named Geraldine, treating coffee as fresh seasonal produce and aiming to highlight what makes each lot distinctive. Green beans come through specialty importers who maintain long term, transparent relationships with farmers. The roastery offers tasting experiences throughout the year and handles weekly deliveries to the Glasgow area alongside free local hand delivery across Inverclyde.
