El Diamante

About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee is from Peru, specifically from the Utcubamba region. The coffee is grown on Finca El Diamante in the District of Lonya Grande, cultivated by Mirelly on a 2-hectare farm. The coffee features the Marshel variety, an unidentified mutation of Bourbon and Lizana that won the Cup of Excellence in Peru in 2019, along with Caturra and Red Bourbon varieties. It is washed processed with selective harvest, pulped the same day, 30-hour fermentation, and dried in solar dryers for approximately 16 days. The flavor profile includes notes of pear, macadamia, and muscovado sugar, with chocolate aromas and tartaric acidity reminiscent of grapes, balanced by a beautifully balanced body. The coffee is organically certified (CH-BIO-006) and produced by Cooperativa Agraria Norcafe Peru.
