About This Coffee

El Moreno is a fully washed Caturra from the Huehuetenango department in northwest Guatemala, grown by the Perez family at altitudes between 1800 and 2000 meters. The region, situated in the Cuchumatanes mountain range, is protected from frost by warm, dry winds from Tehuantepec, Mexico, and is characterized by clay-rich soils with balanced minerality. This creates distinct microclimates that contribute to the coffee's full body, fine structure, and flavor notes of walnut, cherry, and cocoa.
